Chemical and refinery industry
Two-way radios are used in the daily production process and at turnarounds in the chemical industry. Usually radios are explosion proof. Flash has large stocks of ATEX radios that can be rented for a short or longer period of time. You can always obtain an overview of the number of radios that are located at each plant.

In 2006 Flash has installed at Shell a Motorola Compact TETRA Multi-site system, based on 3 CTS200 basestations. Approximately 600 Shell employees use on the system Motorola MTP850 ATEX TETRA radios. Shell is the first refinery in the Benelux that works with a Motorola TETRA system in combination with ATEX radios.
Shell has agreed upon a customised service contract for maintenance at the system and peripherals.

The Total group plants in the port of Antwerp are leaders in the refinery and petrochemical industries. These plants have been renting for their turnarounds radios from Flash since 1997.
Flash has installed four standalone Motorola SmartNet trunking systems with new Motorola GP580 ATEX peripherals to obtain better cover and a larger capacity in relation to their own radio network. On-Site Service is supplied in relation to these radio networks.
