Shell Nederland Pernis refinery
The Shell refinery is the first in the Benelux to implement TETRA for its mission-critical radio communication. In 2006, Flash installed a Motorola multi-site system, which is utilised by around 600 employees by means of Motorola MTP850Ex ATEX two-way radios.
At the end of 2010, the system was from the outset seamlessly migrated by Flash to a multi-site DAMM TetraFlex system. The customised service contract which sets out maintenance of the system and peripherals remains unmodified and in full force.
Shell also makes extensive use of the short-term solutions provided by Flash, such as ATEX radio equipment, which is rented to facilitate the higher demand for radio communication during factory turnarounds, shutdowns and turnovers.
